Picnics by Design
TERMS & CONDITIONS
All quotes are valid for 30 (thirty) calendar days from the date of production. After this date, a new quote will be issued on request in order for booking to be made. Additionally, any special offers or discounts from the original quote maybe forfeited at Picnics by Design discretion.
By depositing any money into the following account, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions laid hereafter.
Bank Details: Picnics by Design
A non-refundable deposit of 30% (fifty percent) of your overall bill is required to book our services and/or stock for the date quoted.
The remaining balance, of your bill is due for settlement 2 (two) weeks prior to the event date unless otherwise specified by Picnics by Design. Shortly after receipt of funds, you will be sent an invoice detailing the remaining money owed and payment options.
Once the booking has been made final by deposit, any amendments to the quote may incur a fee. Furthermore, any money already deposited in the above named bank account is non-refundable and will be retained by Picnics by Design even if the adjustments come to less than money paid.
A security bond of $100 (one hundred dollars) is required on all hired items. This bond will be returned within 5 (five) working days after the event, where practical and funds will be deposited into a bank account nominated by the client. The bond will only be released once all items have been collected/returned in a satisfactory condition. Deductions from the bond will occur in the case of damage or missing items or the additional laundering of items due to wax or other indelible marking
In the case that a bond has not been paid, or the replacement cost of any damage items exceeds the $200 (two hundred dollars) bond, Picnics by Design reserves the right to recover those additional costs by any and all means necessary.
Once the final invoice has been paid or 2 (two) weeks prior to the date of the event, whichever occurs later, any amendments made to the styling and decors booked will be accommodated where possible, at the discretion of Picnics by Design and may occur additional fees.
It is the client’s responsibility to check that all items listed on their itemized invoice are correct and to notify Picnics by Design of any errors prior to payment of the final money owed. Picnics by Design take no responsibility for errors which occur as a result of a failure to do so.
The client is liable for the full cost of any non-stock items Picnics by Design has to order on their behalf should they then choose not to use the said items. E.g. baskets, vases, linen etc.
Travel charges may be applicable. All hired items are to be delivered and picked up at the scheduled time.
Picnic hire are for 3 hours. Hire can be extended to 5 hours or a full day hire.
Picnics by Design reserves the right to refuse to set-up any outdoor event in the case of bad weather. Picnics by Design will do all things reasonable to relocate the event to an alternate location. If it is rainy, a marquee/canopy can be set up at the clients cost expense.
Bookings made with Picnics by Design are non-refundable should an outdoor event be cancelled due to bad/severe weather then the following will apply:
Re-scheduling of the event within a 3 month period (which will incur additional cost for all the perishable items e.g. flowers, balloons etc.) Rescheduled dates are subject to availability.
Picnics by Design requires a written alternate plan (Plan B) for all outdoor set up and scheduled during Autumn, Winter and Spring.
It is the client’s responsibility to secure (pay) their preferred venue and any permit that is needed (i.e. alcohol consumption permit). Picnics by Design will be able to assist clients if needed.
CANCELLATION OF BOOKING
Cancellation of a booking for any reason will incur the following penalties;
A non-refundable deposit of 50% (fifty percent) of your overall bill is required to book our services and/or stock for the date quoted.
Any exceptions to this policy will be at the discretion of Picnics by Design and reliant upon proof that the event is neither taking place or been re-scheduled for a future date or already taken place.
Under circumstances where an event is to be re-scheduled rather than cancelled (not bad weather related), a client may request that a booking be suspended for 1 (one) calendar month while alternative arrangements are made. In these cases, Picnics by Design will endeavour to accommodate any change in date and venue. Should Picnics by Design not be able to accommodate the change, our normal cancellation policy will apply.
Picnics by Design shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury to any property or person, resulting from of the hire or set-up of their equipment, except in the case of wrongful acts or acts of negligence.
